Ty Pennington is an Emmy® Award–winning TV host, designer and carpenter who has been a beloved figure in American media for more than two decades. As a self-taught woodworker and lifelong creative, Pennington has built a multifaceted career spanning television, product design, and publishing. Beyond his work on screen and in the community, Pennington is passionate about raising awareness of bronchiectasis, a serious but little-known respiratory condition that has personally impacted his family. His mother has lived with bronchiectasis for nearly 20 years, alongside other respiratory conditions including asthma and COPD. Her journey and his experience as a caretaker have inspired him to partner with Insmed on the Suspect BE campaign to encourage people with unresolved respiratory symptoms to look deeper and speak with a pulmonologist about additional testing, like a CT scan, that can rule out or confirm bronchiectasis.
